We have all heard about the uproar over the Confederate flag flying above the SC Capitol building, but the media hasn't been reporting about another flag that has caused controversy recently.
In the small town of Cochran, GA, city officials made a decision to fly the Christian flag over city hall to promote a local Bible-reading marathon. Most of the town residents were supportive of the initiative, but it wasn't long before the politically-correct, anti-Christian police came into town and started raising a ruckus.
The Americans United for Separation of Church and State organization sent statements to the local officials declaring that the flag was a First Amendment violation, and they demanded that it be removed from the city hall.
Unfortunately, the small town officials caved under the threat of legal action from the powerful D.C.-based organization. The flag was taken down, and the city has since promised to only fly the U.S. and state flags at city hall.
We need to stand with the town of Cochran and send a message to the liberal organizations and individuals who want to remove our Christian heritage from the public square. Let's make it so they can't step outside their offices without seeing the Christian flag somewhere.
These Christian flag lapel pins are a great way to honor our Christian heritage everywhere you go!
